Modernisation Update

The new pipeline is now operational, however some leaks have been identified during the commissioning phase.

Theodore Water is working closely with project management to rectify these issues ensuring minimal disruption to supply and rectification prior to irrigation demand increasing.

We thank you for your patience throughout this process and commend Peter, Tim, Jacob and Dan as well as Peter Shoecraft for their help in facilitating these repairs.

In late October, the piers and cross members were installed for the new Theodore pump station.

We appreciate the efforts of Peter Geddes and his team at Hunter Wharf and Barge and their professionalism to efficiently complete the works without delay.

Building works are in the final planning stages.

Following the tender process, Frank Van Bael and Top End Carpentry and Construction Services have been appointed as joint contractors for the building works. It is welcome that we had a local business place a tender and Theodore Water is very excited to have Frank involved in the contracted
works.

Further updates will be provided moving forward, currently March 2024 is the likely timeframe for the switch over to our new Theodore pump station. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact any of the local Theodore Water Irrigator Directors: Peter French – 0428166634 or Kirk Anderson – 0429181079
